A highly impassioned speech by British MP and Afghan veteran Tom Tugendhat on the Afghanistan crisis. Very useful as example of representation (Veterans groups) He is also involved in important Committee work. His speech won applause - something not customary or indeed usually allowed in Westminster.
Today a good example of 'Calling for Persons and Papers' in Select Committees came up.
Social media bosses were quizzed in the Commons Home Affairs Committee over their perceived inaction in preventing hate speech online. Facebook, Twitter and Google were questioned by the MP's regarding their policies.
